Note: All versions build from the same source and are almost identical, except for a couple of Steam-specific enhancements. Since the Steam version is by far the most popular it is also the most likely to receive updates and quick patches. These do not always make it into the other distributions right away. I'm not intentionally holding out on features, it's just a practical matter.
